2016 RECAP:

An exciting event took place at the beautiful Foundry in Long Island City on Sunday, August 14. Secret Summer, New York City’s first and only farm-to-bar cocktail festival, returned for its second year to dazzle guests amongst ivy covered buildings. Libations crafted by expert mixologists and made with fresh ingredients from urban farms were found nestled in decadent rooms. There was savory and sweet cuisine available for purchase from the city’s most buzz worthy restaurants.

Under the summer sun, guests wandered through a winding maze of beverage tasting from brands including, a Woodford Reserve Tasting Table, Herradura Living Bar, Polar Seltzer Lounge, Rekorderling Cider Courtyard and much more.

As the afternoon progressed, interactive performances thrilled and entertained guests, taking them on an otherworldly adventure. Attendees were also invited to participate in a range of activities, including the Spin Ping-Pong Garden, flash tattoo station, custom flower crown demo, live graffiti installation, bespoke poetry booth, art exhibition by Bryant Toth and more. It was incredible!

Secret Summer took place in the perfect location for an otherworldly adventurous event. The Foundry is a 19th century building that has been meticulously restored to showcase its industrial character and stunning proportions. Adaptable for many uses, this venue encompasses both indoor and outdoor spaces. The interior is over 3,000 square feet of raw space, and the outdoor territory has a lush courtyard and a rooftop terrace with views of the Manhattan skyline. It also contains an indoor greenhouse and a fully equipped industrial kitchen. Secret Summer made use of most of the space while taking guests on an adventure perfect for a summer Sunday.
