Staying home and indoors to help limit the spread of the coronavirus is of utmost importance right now. Trust me, I know it’s hard to not be able to go out and do the things we’re all so used to doing (especially the things we love to do!). But, if we do the hard part now, it hopefully means that this will all end sooner than anticipated. In the mean time, there are still ways to do fun things, but in a different way – virtually! Below are some of the best things to do virtually while in quarantine.
VIRTUAL PARTIES/ENTERTAINMENT
FACEBOOK LIVE SING-A-LONGS WITH MARIE’S CRISIS CAFE
NYC’s historic piano bar is keeping the entertainment going and will now be a virtual piano bar every night. Yes, every night! And for two different show times each night! Request to join the group on Facebook. And be sure to tip your pianist/performer for providing great at-home music! They accept virtual tips/donations through Venmo.

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW: AT HOME
The famed Feinstein’s/54 Below is now offering online entertainment. “We will be reaching into our archives and streaming a select few of our past performances as one-time only events on YouTube. In addition, some of our upcoming performers have agreed to give you an exclusive sneak peek of their rescheduled shows. Check back on this page for updates and added artists! We are proud to be known as “Broadway’s Living Room” and as such, would like to provide a moment in time and a space for our audiences to come together as a community. After hearing that so many people are suffering from isolation as a result of the social distancing guidelines, we have decided to gather our online community into a virtual room where we can enjoy performances, comment, and chat with each other.” – Feinstein’s/54 Below

DAYBREAKER / LIVE: DISCO HOUSE PARTY
April 25 | 11am-1pm | $12.50+
Get moving and excited to experience Daybreaker parties, virtually! “This Love Train is packing some big disco energy, fam. To celebrate the era of bell-bottoms, leotards and Good Times, we’re firing up for a (virtual) disco inferno with music to make us funk. For Daybreaker LIVE, let’s (electric) slide into our livestream wearing something a lil’ ‘70s. Sequins, leopard prints, platform boots and anything *c’est chic,* so long as you can still shake your groove thang. Together in our homes with 1,000 friends around the globe, we’ll warm up with a soulful yoga flow before switching gears to do the hustle to throwbacks and sweet nu-disco jams. Because friends, these are the moments when we need to choose the things that make our hearts pound. Disco is a celebration, a party, a sweet release. Let’s step up, dress up, stand out and move John-Travolta-in-bell-bottoms fast—this one’s about more than just Stayin’ Alive. And remember: every time you show up for this community, you’re helping keep our lights on and this movement going. So share far and wide, and virtually invite 10 friends to lock in your spot on our dance cam. See you on the dancefloor—online.” – Daybreaker
