Kenzo Estate

Kenzo Estate is a bit of a trek, however, it is absolutely worth the trip as the wine here is one-of -a-kind. You won’t experience a vineyard like this anywhere else in Napa. The estate is owned by Kenzo Tsujimoto, former CEO of the Capcom video game company in Japan, and is meticulously designed. Exploring the area we were in awe of the beauty of the grounds and the unique views found here. Kenzo handpicked the dream team to create this world class winery: Heidi Peterson Barrett as winemaker, David Abreu as viticulturist, and Thomas Keller to create the appetizers for the tasting room.

The estate is in a beautiful, remote mountain top and features wines not sold in the United States. It was definitely a treat to taste wine I wouldn’t taste anywhere else. With zero internet reception, it was also a welcome reminder to just relax and enjoy the views and the tour.

The wines are fantastic and it’s a shame there is so much demand in Japan that they don’t have the quantities to sell it in the U.S. I would buy a bottle of their wine every week if I could!
