Halloween in NYC | Ghost Tours, Parties, Pumpkins, and Parades

October 15, 2019 | Stefanie DiMartino

October is one of the best months and it’s a great time of year – the weather gets cooler and the air has a nice crispness to it, the leaves change color, and most importantly, it’s Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! You get to dress up as whatever you’d like. You can dress up scary, silly, sexy, serious – anything! The options are limitless. You get to be something you’re not for a fun night or weekend (but please try to be mindful and respectful of others).  Below are my top picks of countless parties, events, and things to do to make sure you have a “spooktacular” Halloween.
Looking for things to do in autumn? Then read my article here or watch the video.

BEETLEJUICE BROADWAY

Winter Garden Theatre, 1634 Broadway, NY, NY

Get into the festive Halloween spirit by seeing Beetlejuice on Broadway! The classic and much-loved film by Tim Burton has been transformed into a Broadway show that you won’t want to miss. “It’s official! “The whole world loves Beetlejuice” (New York Post). Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious new musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, Beetlejuice is “screamingly good fun!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O! Get tickets now to Broadway’s “jaw-dropping funhouse!” (The New York Times).”
